Formal Criteria

The programme is open to artists who have graduated from one of the seven institutions of higher artistic education within the past two years, and who are motivated to pursue their practice across genre and artistic formats, and interested in entering into a collective dialogue with the other participants.

The seven institutions of artistic education that operate under the aegis of Ministry of Culture Denmark are:

The National Film School of Denmark
The Danish National School of Performing Arts
The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Schools of Visual Arts
The Royal Danish Academy of Music
The Rhythmic Music Conservatory
The Royal Academy of Music Aarhus/Aalborg
The Danish National Academy of Music

Applications can be submitted in either Danish or English. Please note that the programme will be conducted mainly in Danish.

Send your application to ep@artisticresearch.dk, and please include the following:

  • A written motivation where you shortly describe your artistic practice and desired future development.
  • A proposal for an appropriate mentor or mentorprofile.
  • CV+ if relevant, Portfolio.

The artists selected for the programme will be notified approximately 1 week after the application deadline.

If there are more applicants than available slots in the programme, selections will be made that prioritize an even distribution of participation of the different educational institutions and artistic disciplines as well as potential for artistic development within the framework of the program.

Enhanced Practice is a further and continuing education project funded by the Growth Plan for creative professions and is part of the framework funding of the art schools.
