Narrative spaces – immersive audio
The project is interested in exploring, from an artistic perspective, how the latest 3D audio technologies can best be utilised by composers and sound designers working together. Technological developments point to new perspectives for the ‘listening situation’ and for composition methodology as well as for the relationship between the two, all aiming to use sound to create immersive experiences of the narrative that can be made accessible to everyone, everywhere. The project will develop and qualify methodological approaches to collaborating on creating new music for this purpose.
