12 Musicians from Another Place
12 Musicians from Another Place examines how a deeper understanding of the cultural and musical diversity of musicians can be the basis for new approaches for the composer to the compositional. Based on a systematic study of twelve musicians’s environmental diversity and cultural backgrounds, and through collaboration and dialogical based artistic experiments, strategic models for developing transparent genre-neutral works are formulated and tested for an ensemble of these twelve musicians.
