Musical form
A project about exploring traditional musical forms. An electronic piece of music was composed, taking its starting point in the rondo. In this case, the recurring part A contains specific sequence of tones which can, via a tone matrix, be heard in various combinations (transposed, inverse, reversed etc.).
The project investigated several issues: Does it make sense to use a specific form as the starting point when creating electronic music? Will the overall framework inspire new creative choices and solutions, or will it feel like an unnecessary obstacle?
The music is released on the album Urodela (Escho 2019/ESC113)
