Reconstructive Opera

The project ‘Reconstructive Opera’ investigates and elaborates narrative potentials in new opera. In opera, narrativity based on identifiable characters are often found in traditionally orientated works. This project investigates how sung, character-based drama can involve clear narrativity as well as experimentation with expression, ways of singing, conceptual context. And it explores how methods and ways of artistic organisation influence the work.
